Lunch by the River

A day before flying to Manila, my brood treated me to a farewell lunch. The  seafood restaurant where we ate was made of  bamboo and nipa(palm leaves). It is a small unassuming affair  nestled by the river. Its is called Joy-Joy's.A  foodie's JOY indeed!

See for yourself .

Sinamak-The mother of all vinegars. You can't just eat your seafood without this.

There were about 10 of us in the group and had a double order of each dish. Guess how much we spent for the delicious feast? P1,500 or less than $50. Unbelievable?.Only in Iloilo.

If you happen to go to Iloilo and want to eat in this place, email me. I'll be happy to show the way. Basta treat mo.

I've been to Iloilo ages ago and had lunch in a place very much like Joy's. In fact my Ilonggo college barkada's name is Joy :-)

Welcome back Angelo!

hi ces and iska,

thanks for welcoming me back to cyberbia.
but know what? i still can't get over with the wonderful experiences i had in Pinas.Marami pa akong gustong tikman. Na pagkain ha?:) Gusto ko na bumalik.
i guess that is the irony of leaving one's homeland. you do not get to realize how much you love it until you leave it.
absence makes the heart grow fonder, indeed.

What river - the Iloilo river? Sounds interesting - I guess that place wasn't there yet in 2005 when we went home..sigh..
Definitely will get a list from you the nest time we go home!
